Whether belting out Broadway and big band ballads or softly seducing you with sultry standards, she always delivers memorable musical moments that keep people coming back for more. Her opening numbers are powerful and energetic, escalating into pure euphoria, before leading everyone in the room through many gripping emotions. “Bowman leaves everything on the stage.” With a BA focus on classical Theater and Dance from the University of Alabama, Bowman began her professional career in entertainment in 1999 in New York City, performing internationally in TV, Film, Theater, and Cabaret Shows. She relocated to Atlanta in 2012 and has since been embraced as one of Atlanta’s Finest Entertainers.
Stage credits include Chicago, Cabaret, 42nd Street, The Little Mermaid, Hairspray, Oliver 1st National Tour, Evita, Sweeney Todd and A Streetcar Named Desire. Bowman is represented by Atlanta Models & Talent with TV/ Film Credits including: Spielberg’s Amazing Stories, Ugly Betty Season IV, Being Mary Jane, The Haves & the Have Not’s, Its Complicated, Wall Street 2, and several National Commercials. Bowman has worked alongside actors such as Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Shia LaBeouf, James Franco, & Vanessa Williams.
Broadway World awarded Deborah Bowman Best Actress in a Professional Play for the 2015 Atlanta Region. She won the 2014 RICE Award (Rising In Community Excellence) for Entertainment. She is also a 3-time Suzi Bass Award nominee for Best Actress in a musical and is a proud union member of SAG-Aftra and Actor’s Equity. She performs nationwide with her unique Cabaret acts including: American Songbook Series, Broadway Reviews, Marilyn Monroe Show, A Christmas Wishlist, A Very Diva Christmas & Shaken Not Stirred: Music of James Bond. Deb Bowman’s weekly performances at both the prestigious St. Regis Hotel at Atlas Restaurant and The Bread and Butterfly in Atlanta regularly draw large crowds. Her “Big Love Band” includes musicians Arthur Turner, Ken Gregory, Craig Shawdaddy, & Jared Lanham.
Bowman’s first solo album “Addicted to Love Songs” made the 54th Grammy Ballot in 4 categories, including Best Jazz Vocals & Best New Artist. Her newest endeavors as a songwriter have brought much anticipation for her newly released album, “Fast Heart.” The album was recorded at the renowned Power Station in NYC and has received broad critical acclaim. “Fast Heart” made the 62nd Grammy Ballot in 3 categories including Best Jazz Vocal Album and Best New Artist.
